Posted by: | CommentsRight now I weigh 111 lbs. I burn about 450-500 calories a day at the gym. The calories I need to maintain my weight is 1730 calories. If I were to lessen my intake by 500 calories, how long would it take me to lose 5 or 10 lbs? 1 lb=3600 calories
It actually takes 3,500 calories to make up a pound, not 3,600.
5 pounds= 17,500 calories.
10 pounds= 35,000 calories
500 calories lost a day for 7 days= 3500 calories
So, you would be losing approximately one pound a week. It should take you around a month to lose five pounds. I’d say, after mid October, you will be 10 pounds lighter.
