Ok Im 14 and I’m not over weight but I’m beginning to gain a lot. But I’m always hungry so if I keep on then I’m going to get over weight. My stomach is getting bigger and I’m really hungry. But I’m also very muscular and I exercise sometimes. I really need to know some easy ways to lose weight and keep me from getting hungry besides weight loss programs! Tipss pleasee?

1. First start by getting up earlier than usual. Around 5:30 AM to do some of you workouts. Getting up early shocks your metabolism because the body needs more energy to get going. Right? This will start your system on the road to weight loss. That early start with about 10 minutes of stretching. Have a cup of coffee to get the blood going also.

2. Do all the sit-ups you can. Just do them. 15 or 20 whatever, we don’t have a lot of time to work with. Rest 1 minute repeat, do this for 6 sets. Already you are breathing hard and feel worn, because the body is working extra hard at being up earlier and then going right into exercise. If the early morning hour lets you get your cardio in, go ahead and do it. 30 minutes.

3. Diet. Cut all current meal portions in half, just cut them in half, nothing fancy or complicated, CUT IN HALF! Cut out all bread products, all gravies, candies, chips, night snacks, etc. If you crave at night eat a banana, other fruit or best a non-fat yogurt. There are some tasty ones out there.

4. In the evening do another 6 sets of sit-ups maxing out each set. Cardio again. The trick is to stay with getting up earlier. Yes it’s hard, that’s why it is so effective. Why do you think the Army gets up so early, it is intense training to the max.

I’m a dancer and i am 14 years old. I dance pretty much everyday for more than 5 hours a night. I am 5′3 and weigh 109 pounds. I want to weigh a little less so it is easier for my partners to lift me. please help me lose weight fast!

You need to go to therapy to find out what the underlying cause may be. it has to be more than a craving…maybe a hormone imbalance or something medically or mentally out of whack. you need to start exercising and eat fresh fruits/vegies, berries and fiber when you want to eat the junk food. occupy your time with reading, walking, hanging out with friends, etc. attend church. having God on your side always helps. I am trying to lose weight before July. I weight 165 pounds and I am 5 ft 9 in.

What is a reasonable amount of weight to try to lose? How much is possible with eating right and light exercise?

Also, my other problem is that as soon as I start eating healthier, I start getting cravings, and before I know it, I’m eating between meals again. I realllllllly want to lose weight and I’m very motivated but I can’t help myself! Anything I can do to really stay motivated?

I find that drinking water helps a lot in shedding weight. It isn’t so much the water but the lack of sugar that’s in drinks that does it.
I also walk whenever I can. Walking is very good for losing weight, so is eating less,.. Try it.
As per eating between meals.. you can’t escape it as it seems to be the American way.
Believe or not, in most other cultures it is seen very bad to eat standing/without a plate etc.. if you think about it that’s a bit what animals do.
Try getting used to eat only when sitting down at the table, from a plate, using knife and a fork!
And when you do eat, have a starter, a main course, a salad, some dessert, a coffee and a sip of some liquor to totally end the meal.
You will then fill like you have had your daily meal and won’t seek for more, a bit like sleeping. You don’t take a nap every two hours, do you? Why should eating be any different.

Sure, I understand that I won’t be able to express a 2000 years old eating culture in this little box and anyway, I might get reported any moment for saying anything that’s not mainline American culture, lol. But I tried.. and "without supplements"! ha ha

I’m 14 years old 5′1” and 145 pounds. I’m trying to find ways to lose weight being a vegetarian. Almost everything I look at ( what your supposed to eat, recipes etc.) says to eat meat/fish at least once a day for protein to help you lose weight. Can someone please give me things to eat everyday being a vegetarian and exercises to do to help me lose weight?

Tofu sounds intimidating at first but when prepared well it can taste great. Also, you could start out with low impact aerobics. Try walking at first and when you’re comfortable with that, step it up a notch. Muscle work is also good because your metabolism needs to run at a higher pace to feed your muscles when they’re in good shape. Try squatting ten or twenty times a day, that works out your largest muscles, and trust me, you’ll feel it!
