Changing it Up
Try switching it up with a different jogging route. For example, if you jog in the park one day, switch it to the park the next, or any other place you want to. You will find that by changing your route, you change your scenery and expectations will vary for every route that you take. You can even just do the treadmill to your favorite music for one day, and then run outside for the next. These ideas will make your daily jog more interesting.
Try Exercises You Don’t Normally Do
There are many unusual exercises that come in the form of different sports. For example, try pilates, instead of aerobics. Wall climbing instead of jogging is another one. Finally, try swimming instead of weight training. By trying out the different kinds of fitness activities that are available in your area, you will be able to vary your activities and make yourself look forward to new and exciting activities that you haven’t tried out yet.
Exercise With a Partner
Exercising and doing workout routines doesn’t have to be about you doing it alone. If one of your friends also wants to lose weight or stay in shape, do it together. You will find that by working out with someone else will make time pass more quickly and more pleasantly. Not only does it allow you the opportunity to socialize, you may even end up taking longer than you expected to workout!
Create Incentives for Your Workouts
Reward yourself each time you workout. You can reward yourself with a number of things, such as, a nice bubble bath, a massage, or a rented movie. Rewards will assist in your motivation to continue your workout regimen and eventually reach your goals.
Be creative by making your workout fun as you change the scenery, the activity you do, and by the reward you set for yourself. You can always do different things to change it up.
